UPSTATE ACADEMY
40 hour Surety(19-08)
Pre-Licensing Course
Covers surety, fiduciary, fidelity bonds and crime insurance bonds. This
intensive lecture course helps to prepare the student for the surety exam for
series 19-08
20 Hour Professional Surety and Runner(19-16)
Pre-Licensing Course
Covers General insurance, insurance regulations, legal framework of
contracts, principles of bail bonding and Chapter 53 of the SC Code of
Laws. This class helps to prepare the student for the professional surety or
runner exam doe series (19-16).
6 Hour Continuing Education Course
Covers interests and concerns that affect bail bondsmen and runners in SC.
The various course may cover case law realty to bail bondsmen legislation
statutory laws.
24 Hour Surety Continuing Education Course
Correspondence course, given on even years (actual class time is 6 hours)
exam given.
6 Hour Seminar for SCBAA(South Carolina Bail Agents Association)
20 Hour Pre-Licensing Class

The total cost of the 24 hour is $125.00. YOU MUST PAY BY OCTOBER 26,
2007. This is to ensure that you receive your book by October 31, 2007. When
calling in, we will need your mailing address to mail your book to you or you can
come to the office and pick up your book.
The work study session will be held on Friday, November 2, 2007. The exam will
be held on Sunday, November 4, 2007.
